I've been doing some searching, and havent really come up with anything
other than finding a circuit that does use a 16C54, fed directly from the
mains (or pretty much so) and decodes the X10 data.  Since X10 is now public
domain (I think...since the patent expired?) has anyone done this, without
using the PLIX or some other commercial thing?  I'd like to build some X10
capability into a few things, but hate to pay the price for it.
