Hi,

I am 20 and live in the UK. I am just about to return to university in
September to do my final year of my degree in Software Engineering. I am an
exceptional programmer and quick learner.

At the moment I am having some emotional problems with my girlfriend who I
lived with for the past couple of years moving away. She finished her degree
and could not afford to support herself until she found a job so was forced
to move back to her parents.

I have been working all summer in an unskilled position working to pay for a
car so I can get to uni every day. I have not had a break for as long as I
can remember and feel like I need a break from all my hassles. I am
therefore considering the option of taking a year out from uni to have a bit
of a break from my hassles at home for a while. I really feel like I need to
'get away from it all' for a while.

Are any of you able to offer me any advice on how to go about getting a job
and accommodation sorted in another country for a year? All I would require
would be accommodation and basic living costs.
