If you are on a solid feed, it will probably work just fine. If you are on the end of a poorly regulated line, any AC hash will dramatically increase the current through the Capacitor. These things are a big headache for the Solar Power people. Imagine what will happen when someone tries to run it off a squarewave inverter. Zap !!! .............................
