Ron, if you have a problem with Microchip, deal with them.  You originally
asked how many others were upset about the same problem -- as far as I can
tell the answer to that so far has been zero.  Sorry about your problem,
but there is nothing anyone on the list can do about it, so repeating the
same gripes here day after day is not going to be a very productive use of
anyone's time.  Migrate to a different CPU, sue Microchip, I don't care,
but I for one am getting tired of hearing about it.

As for Microchip's size and priorities...  if the revision to the 'F87x is
late it's probably because so few peope complain that they have higher
priorities (like new products everyone is asking for).  I have yet to see
anything detailed in your messages that does not work exactly as specified
in the 16F877 data sheet.  One does what one can with what one has and
moves on, usually.
