Hi all.. Prehaps somebody could help me working out the following, I`ve done it myself but I keep getting results that just don`t look right. There is a coil that is producing a magnetic field strength(H) of 25.8 dBuA/m at 10 m. I make this 0.000381 A/m. I want to then convert this to flux density(B) in Gauss. So as I understand it the formula is. Flux Density(B) = Field Strength(H) x Permability of Material. I work this out using the permability of air and don`t seem to get the right answer. In case anybody is wondering i`m trying to work out if it`s possible to detect a certain coil at 10m using a hall effect sensor. Any help appreciated. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
