(Not too concerned with Accounting > side as we already have suitable package for this). I use Parts & Vendors which isn't MRP but will do inventory management & costings. They make the statement that it is intended for use during the development phase rather than a production tool. It is quite good for contract development work as you can give each client their own database. Another advantage is that it is an Access database so you can get at the data and extract whatever you want. http://www.trilogy.com A product that IMHO is better in the production management is Trakit at http://www.kronix.com You can schedule and forecast a bit better than P&V. However, it does require a bit more work in getting the data in, in the first place. There's a product called iTrex (http://www.xelosproducts.com) that has been advertised in CCI recently. I have no experience with it though. All of these products are aimed at the electronics industry. It seems that our requirements are a bit unique. Most of the other things that I have looked at as MRP or manufacturing systems have been a waste of time. To get something useful with accounting functions requires both $$$ and someone dedicated to using it. At the moment I'm using Quickbooks for accounting and P&V for stock management and I'm outgrowing it (mostly the Quickbooks side) so if anyone has suggestions, I'm interested too.
