Most mosfets have normal Si PN junction 'inverse' diodes, unless they have an integrated Shottky (I've never seen one of those, except for switching power supplies where the Shottky Anode has a separate lead). This means that they drop 0.6V, not 0.2V. The L293 has bipolar switches and I do not think that they will conduct in reverse.
