I'll check with an LCD manufacturer tomorrow, but I thought I would ask as long as I'm sitting here now. We are using an LCD that is rated up to 60 deg C operating temp. As it happens, our application is causing those displays to occasionally get up to that temp, and they do act up a bit - the segments get darker, which makes the display hard to read. We can probably live with this if the displays are not being damaged when this occurs. So my question is: are the LCD's always ok when they cool down, or does this stress them so that they won't last as long? The 'storage temp' rating - 85 deg C - is not exceeded. In fact, they don't seem to get much above 60 so far. Thanks for any help. -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
