Maybe you've set the bandwidth around the centre frequency too
narrow. The data sheet has graphs for the choice of components
to set the BW and CF. The BW also has a time element to it re
the number of cycles for a successful lock (which might be what's
causing the noise), so you may need to experiment a little to find
the optimum
