Try hardware stores, look for metal door skins, or heating ductwork, some will have small pieces of sheet metal for just about what you need. Other sources automotive ie body shops or steel fab shops. If you get one of the fab shops to sell it to you they might even cut it up fairly cheap or let you do it if your lucky.
