Hi Richard,

you are right, I don't intend to make any gain on it. I also don't expect the users of this servis to come from United States, where several distributors compete for a market share.

I remember the situation here in Czech several years ago. The only options were: either buy 50pc lot of 16C84 at $5/pc from distributor A, or singles at $12/pc(!) from distributor B. I was seriously thinking about switching to the '51 world, but stayed with PICs.

I know Digikey can ship outside USA, but the conditions are not very favourable. Especially the shipping thru UPS or similar carrier will add significantly to the cost.
