Can anyone tell me why RA4 is an "open drain" output when all the other
PORTA pins are "full output drivers"?  It took me a while to figure that one
out, for a while I thought I had configured timer0 wrong.

Also, it takes a long time for the Picstart Plus to program the entire code
space of the 16F877.  Is there a workaround?  Am I doing something wrong
with my serial port?  Can I set my entire project and the programmer to
PICF874 so it only programs the first 4k?  I don't want to  break my parts
just trying it.  I am only using a few hundred bytes at the moment while
experimenting with several code ideas.

I am runing Windows NT 4 and I've tried setting the serial port to the max
possible rate.  It seems like it can only program about 32 bytes a second,
so it programs in over four minutes.
