Ignoring the costs of changing them, electricity used is more expensive than the actual cost of the bulb, maybe by 10:1 or 5:1, depending on what you pay per kWH, from what I've seen. So, you'll get less light per $ with a longer lasting bulb. >Or just create one filament, with the same wire, but twice as long?
