Wait a minute...these are real. They are called convection reflow ovens and the only difference is they are longer. You can have "zones" and a temperature profile (curve) as the board goes through. It's the kind of thing you need if you ever get into BGA chips. Now I know the idea works in reverse--I always suggested running pizzas through the thing...then I read somewhere that someone was doing that and they found that the residues had an effect on the solder joints when they went back to using it to do boards...oh, well.
