Oops, forgot the tag, resending... Hi. I am trying to make a PIC12C508 read in RS232 serial (only low baud rates, say 9600) and then output clocked serial (i.e. one clock line and one data line). I want to control an LED controller chip via my serial port, and the controller IC takes a clocked serial input. Basically, it's the RS232 bit I'm not sure about. Could anyone donate some code to simply loop round reading in RS232 (directly connected to the PIC)? I can do the output to clocked serial, although if you fancy doing that too don't let me stop you :) I am going to power the PIC from the serial port and use an external crystal for the clock. I will use either a 12C508(A) or 12C509(A). The project will eventually control some 7-segment displays on the front of my computer. Anyone care to help a poor lamer? :) Regards, Paul -- .-------------------------------------.----------------. | Ami3D....www.mc68k.btinternet.co.uk | Asm..C..Blitz2 | | email...paul.qureshi@btinternet.com | Intel..Outside | `-------------------------------------^----------------' Amiga Support Association - www.amigasupport.co.uk -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
