I have found a source for the connectors that match the NiMH batteries
recently given away to PICLIST members.

These connectors are a 2.5mm pitch right-angle, thru-hole PC-board mount.
(They fit fine into 0.1" spaced holes).

The minimum order quantity is 1000 units at US $ 50.00 per 1000 (ie: US
$0.05 per each).

If I can get enough interest, I would be willing to purchase 1000 and resell
them at cost ($0.05 each), plus actual shipping cost and $4.00/order
"handling".
