http://www.kitsrus.com/k96_119.html That's the programmer I use, it's super easy to build, supports www.picallw.com software which is EXCELLENT. And it inexpensive while still programming lots of chips. I was kinda disappointed with the El Cheapo's software, which for being a free thing, is awesome, but I am one picky little guy :) I also bought Predko's book, and read over the instructions and a few sample projects but it really didn't help me much compared to diving in and trying things, then having a specific question to solve, THEN going to the book for help. I had prior MCU experience though so I had it a little easier adapting, only having the learn the instruction set. nick@veys.com | www.veys.com/nick > -----Original Message----- > From: pic microcontroller discussion list > [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU]On Behalf Of Bill Katsma > Sent: Sunday, June 10, 2001 1:32 PM > To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU > Subject: [PIC]: Please help me get started > > > Hello, > > I am very eager to get started in this PIC stuff.
