Made from approx 6mm welded steel plate, tapped holes to bolt to chassis of machine. The idea of being so heavy is that we didn't want to introduce any extra vibrations into our measurement by having the sensors flopping around. Consider grounding the bracket and your input circuit. I suspect the piezo sensors would easily pickup 50/60Hz by capacitive coupling because of their large surface area. Not a problem if this freq is not within the band of interest for your vibration measurements.
