Pure oxygen is cheap and common and used in compressed form in all oxy-acetylene welding sets. You can get a bottle from the local industrial gas supplier, and while you are there MAKE SURE to ask him about all the safety issues as pure oxygen is highly explosive... -Roman For some uses (car engines) they use nitrous oxide, it is good for increasing engine power if you can add N02 and fuel. It is much safer than oxygen, but still can cause some big nasty explosions. There is a web page on the net of a person showing the remains of their car and garage after their NO2 bottle went bang.
