The smallest portable programmer(??) turned out to be the biggest pain in the **** to get going. That will teach me to conjure up a 'simple' project while being a bit sick in the head :-) On top of that my computer failed last Friday afternoon (faulty video card) and didn't get fixed until Tuesday. It's wonderful sitting around off work for a whole day waiting for a serviceman to do a warranty job and they don't show. I couldn't help but give them a bit of lip, to which they promptly replied "Oh! we were just about to call you about that". Yeah right... I told them I would have the PC at the university the next day to give them easy access, and guess where the serviceman got told to go. He then gave them a bit of lip too :-) Anyway I've posted the project which now includes open PIC source, schematics and PCB for a SM module and a through hole module and a serial interface adaptor. It also has a PDF help file and a Windows interface for transferring files to and from the module. The module can program/verify and read from all 16F87x chips via a bootloader setup based on a PIC12C509. There is a sample bootloader ASM file there as well. http://www.bubblesoftonline.com/fob.html -- Best regards Tony mICros http://www.bubblesoftonline.com mailto:sales@bubblesoftonline.com -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
