I am using a  Benchmarq 2040 Gas Gauge, but this question relates to any =
SMBus device, I think.

The following refers to Status register (0x16),  Error Codes.

If I Write to the Smart Battery then test for any error codes, they are =
all clear.

After a Read from the 2040, then test for any error codes, the code =
returned is 0007 (Unknown error). Is this correct, or should it return =
OK (no  errors) ?

I have looked all over the web and cannot find an answer.
