THAT'S what I couldn't remember. The CCS compiler has a "New Project Wizard". When I first came to it I kind of blew by it because it seemed like an awful lot of questions just to write a simple program for a 12C805... Later, after having read a lot of discussions, data sheets, and particularly the fuse lists, I went back to the Wizard and there I found everything I was looking for, and more, of course, but it made a lot more sense now that I was familiar with all the stuff in a PIC.
