I'm wondering how to take two power supplys and combine them to form something that can share the load between them, and if I've got extra supplys, if one dies, the others can cope with that and keep the system running. Basically, I've got three power supplys rated at 5 volts, 6 amps, and 12 volts, 6 amps. I want to power a load that takes 5 volts 10 amps, and 12 volts, 10 amps. Is there a good way to do this? The industrial redundant power supplys I've seen have other connectors so that they can cooperate. I guess I could settle for a hiccup in the output voltage, but I could dampen that with capacitors or something anyway.
