Tony, you upside down people are a bit ahead of my time The auction for the pocket programmer http://www.bubblesoftonline/pocket/pocket.html prototype that Tony donated to the piclist.com "RAID fund" closes at 4/30/01 10:39:00 PM Pacific Standard Time which is about 5 hours from now. http://www.piclist.com/techref/auction.asp?a=itm&i=26 The current top bid is $100.00. Seems like a very reasonable price for an assembled and tested version of a product that is selling well at $88 in kit form. (advance orders from pickiest.com at $80+s&h+tax until I recieve my stock from Tony and begin acting as his US shipping agent.) http://www.piclist.com/techref/microchip/devprogs.htm#pocket Not to mention the historic value. Bob Simpson sent me some pictures of the one he built. I ment to post them to the site today but I forgot so will have to do it tomorrow. Bob says:
Unit built from a Bubblesoft kit (excellent quality and price). Built in about 2 - 3 hours easily. Only problem was U10 (74LS05) I must of fried it as it would not switch off fully. Changed it and it all worked perfectly. Will hopefully get time over the next week or so to add to the list. Let me know if you need any further info on how I built it. Tony's instructions were so good a novice could build it.
And its totally open source so you can always update it! I'm waiting to see who will be the first to "tweak" the source and add some additional capabilities. In fact, a banner on all the site pages for a month, a write up, links and "attaboy" (or "attagirl") to the first contributor of any extension or bug fix to the open source and... ...$100 plus all of the above on the http://www.sxlist.com site to the first person who adds the ability to program any Ubicom SX controllers. That is unless the original is preferred. -- Best regards Tony mICros http://www.bubblesoftonline.com mailto:sales@picnpoke.com -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
