Hi! I used Dallas DS1620, PIC16f84 and a Hitachi HD44780 based 2x16 LCD displ= ay to measure room temperature and display it on LCD. It's 1/2=B0C accurate = and for now it only deals with temperatures, higher than 0=B0C. It's somethin= g I work on currently, so in future I plan to control LCD in 4 bit mode, I'll add routine that deals with negative values and improve accuracy to 1/10=B0= C. I fancy using one of the Dallas IC's (or similar IC) to do this. I was ju= st wondering if anyone has used anything like this (think it was mentioned i= n a recent thread). Does anyone know which is the easiest to interface as I a= m up against a tight deadline. If anyone has some code to use such a device that would be a great help.
