> Sorry for being REALLY dumb, but whats an 8088? Just too young ? The 8088 (Intel 8088) was a leaner version of the i8086, the ancestor of all Pentiums. It powered the IBM PC XT computer which was the second generation of PC. It was the first kind of PC that came with a hard disk (10M !) and was cloned extensively. The XT ran at 8 or 10 or 12 MHz (twice as fast as the original 4.77MHz PC). Peter -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
