Just downloaded the 6.5 eval and it's still sluggish. I've now seen this on 6.0 and 6.5, on two seperate machines, under NT4 and 2k, and with TNT2 and S3 video cards. Something else I just noticed--most, if not all, win32 apps will trigger my iFeel haptic mouse as I go from one main menu item (File, Edit, Search, etc.) to another. Codewright does not. Maybe they've got some weird owner-draw menu that's not as well optimized as the default win32 code. Still, every time this editor discussion pops up on the piclist, I get excited about CW...maybe this time I'll finally write that check. newell -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
