inside my X10 keychain remote is a PTC2221-001.. I have another remote w/ a PIC of some type in it I also have 2 other remotes that I haven't taken apart on the receiver end I couldn't say what's in there but there are quite a few specs on the CM-17 (the DB9 serial -> wireless unit) as well a more at the ftp.x10.com site in the instructions and manuals sections as well as a bunch of modification sites on the web.. I can dig a few up if any one is interested.
