>If you want a good in-circuit tester, I love my Fluke 12, >fully auto you can use it to check track resistances >on a live TV set, or leave it on resistance and stick >it in mains outlet, it just beeps the "you're an idiot" >beep and then reads the mains voltage for you. Reminds me of the story of the new graduate with nice new AVO 8 who decided to demonstrate measuring the source impedance of the mains. Put meter on ohms and then prods into mains socket. Almighty bang and flash inside said meter, and large repair bill in form of another new meter. I did not see it, and it is some time since I heard the story, so cannot remember if the person that told it to me was an observer at the "event". -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
