I would find this acceptable, but if you wish to market it you may need to have it as 5ft 10.5in Otherwise I would also say that decimal inches should be OK, but if fractions are insisted on, then do it in quarters of an inch, that way you only have to display 3 possible fractions, vis 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4, which you could probably do acceptably by coding special characters. If smaller fractions are wanted, I would not go below eighths, and if you wanted these as special characters you may have to go to a graphical display, or program on the fly as I have a feeling there are only 6 extra programmable characters (I may be wrong here) on a 448xx type driver chip and you would need 7. -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
