A suggestion to the list. Not pointing fingers here as I have been guilty on both sides of the coin. All members review the FAQ to know its contents. When a newcomer ask a FAQ, don't just reply :"This is a FAQ" and leave it at that or explain it all again. Point him in the right direction. Such as: What do I do with my unused pins? Just reply: http://www.piclist.org/techref/logic/xtrapins.htm Force a newcomer to go to the FAQ by giving him a link. Would be nice if this could be automatic as suggested. The server could detect "unused pins" in the subject line and auto reply with a link (hmmm, I can just hear James groan in the background about this extra workload, hehe). Maybe newcomers can have a tag added to their subscription for a few weeks that will cause autoreply to work everytime. After that it is user selectable.
