Did this get posted yet?? I dunno so here it goes again.. I think I forgot the colon on the subject line... I'd like to make a simple memory stick reader using a PIC basically I want the device to get all the images on the memory stick and store them either onto a hard drive or some other flash memory. the sony memory sticks current max capacity is 64 MB so if I could make a simple transferring device to put them onto say 512 MB flash disks or something like that that would be great.. preferably the whole unit would be battery powered so I could carry it with me on my outings so I need to be able to read the data off the memory stick erase the stick (not necessary but convenient) and transfer the data onto some type of larger memory device as far as the storage goes it's probably necessary that it be in some type of standardized format so I could hook up the device to a serial port on my computer or remove the flash media and put it into a card reader on the PC.. I don't need to do any file management as my camera serial numbers all the images so there won't be any duplicate file names. Any leads or help is appreciated.. I found a device called the digital wallet that has a 3 GB hard drive in it but the thing costs $500.. I've seen a $99 Hard drive to micro controller interface device and also one for a PCMCIA card in circuit cellar.. but I have no idea if I'd have to devise my on FAT tables and all that or if it's handled within the interface..
