The ICD will want to reset your target for you. Normally this is a good thing (tm). However, if you want to run your target with normal code (no debugging support downloaded) you do not want the ICD interfering. Thus, I recommend that you use some sort of connector to the ICD. For prototypes, I often use just a short pigtail of 6 conductor satin with a mod plug on the end to plug into the ICD. The satin, mod-plugs and crimper are all available at your local Radio Shack. It has the modular 6 conductor cable, with connections for RB3,RB6,RB7, Gnd, Vdd and Vpp Now I assume that ~mclr/Vpp is kept normally high, so that I can just pretty much hardwire to the target assembly (which is my development board as well) ?? ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
