Check their PICC support forum at http://www.htsoft.com-- this issue
was recently discussed, and you need to set a switch in MPLAB
slightly differently than for the full version.

Apart from that, the demo is apparently identical to the full
version, just time-limited.

I've used it on the ICD with the option and it worked fine.
