Kent, I would be interested in this ready made 433 Yagi (and a 418 also). Do you have any contact info for COM West, or even better for the one in PA since I am in the states already? I have recently purchased a number of Yagi's from COM West in Vancouver. He imports them from the USA - I think Pennsylvania. They are less than USD 100 ea. and has a gain of 11-12 dB I set up two in the Guadalahara desert. They send about 2 miles over a 25 meter hill, bouncing off a windmill. The signal at the receiver is so strong, I can not squelch it out with my test receiver. (10mW) One note of caution: beware of the stand wave ratio. (SWR). A quarter of a wavelength is 17 cm. The antenna cable should be an odd number of quarter wavelengths, corrected for the cable factor. It is very hard to measure SWR on 433MHz (If you don't have a Bird Wattmeter). The best way is to guess and correct. But a wrong SWR will be able to completely eat your signal. Also, use good cables. 10mW disappears quickly. If you need 10 meters of cable, you will want a dimension that is almost thicker than the transmitter itself. Good luck. -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
