My masters thesis was on CT reconstruction and CT instrumentation,
"Computed Tomography, Control and Instrumentation. A. L. Benci. 1998".
Ah the memories. ;-)

CT reconstruction work has been going on for a fair few years. Back in
1987 a uTomography system was designed and built by some aussie
students. A scanned PDF file provides some details. The second page may
be of interest to you. Warning, this is a HUGE PDF.
