Go to www.microchip.com
Yes, 16F877 is a 40 pin with A/D
look at rest of the 16F87x for various size memory, pins (28&40).

Most here would probably suggest the ICD (in circuit debugger) from Microchip $99,
includes in circuit programming.

You should also take a gander through PICLIST archives, see the bottom of this (and
your) email.
