Note that this depends on NO reflections, or other interference, and that
you have some way to generate them so that the beginning of the cycle is at
the same phase.

Any impulse noise would have this charachteristic.

Problem is, there's a lot of these running around at small power
levels.   It only works for lightning (and I'm not sure that it does)
because it's a multi-megawatt emitter.  It's not hard to pick this out from
the clutter.
