I was slightly peeved to hear today that my order for some surface mounts caps will only arrive somewhere in September. Im looking for 27-33pf caps, yea you guessed it, for the resonator. i have millions of computer circuitboards of various flavours and thought i might be able to scavange some caps off them for now anyway. Thing is i dont have a cap meter. Does anyone have a quick and dirty way of finding out a cap's value without a suitable lc(r) meter?? i thought of doing an rc network and then using a pic to time it and work out the value, but im no circuit designer and dont quite know what to do. Anyone have any ideas for me? Regards John -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
