>Looking for a schematic to be able to connect a telephone set to and be able to have line in >and line outs from the telephone. >Basically I should be able to connect the telephone to my stereo and use it as a speaker and >a mic! (all at line level ins and outs) No not exactly. The telephone is full duplex, and will require about 10 to 20 Vdc to function correctly. You may however provide taps internally to use the mic and a low level amp to drive the speaker. Separation is a must, your stereo is not full duplex through the same wires. You may be able to make a transformer circuit that will provide DC for the phone and isolate the stereo from the DC. Impedance matching will be important, 600 ohms for the telephone and LOW impedance for the stereo, I am not sure of the correct impedance for the stereo. Again you can not run full duplex audio to the stereo, major feedback problems. Gordon Varney -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
