Newbie alert!

(I tried seaching the archives, found no hits)

Has anyone used the 16C7x5 parts to build a USB peripheral?  Are
these parts even available yet?  Has anyone found a supplier?

I'm toying with the idea of building a USB game controller for my
flight sim obsession.  I'd like to know if others have had any
luck working on similar projects.
