These ID receivers are not created equal.  I had a lot of noise problems
with LiteOn, and much less trouble when we switched brands (don't remember
who they are buying it from now).  LiteOn recently discontinued their
line.  Maybe because they couldn't get it right.  (I guess the lights are
off at LiteOn).  Also, these modules tend to need bypass caps accross the
power right at the module.
