Oops! Thanks for the catch. Is it better now? It works for me now in Netscape. Communicator 4.06 and IE 5.0 (as it always did) --- James Newton (PICList Admin #3) mailto:jamesnewton@piclist.com 1-619-652-0593 PIC/PICList FAQ: http://www.piclist.com or .org -----Original Message----- From: pic microcontroller discussion list [mailto:PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU]On Behalf Of Peter L. Peres Sent: Tuesday, January 30, 2001 14:11 To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU Subject: [PICLIST] [ADMIN]: Attn. Mr. James Newton Importance: Low Hi, you might want to know that many (all ?) GIFs served from www.piclist.com are served with MIME type text/html, which is not what they should be. I cannot see the images in Netscape unless I do some magic on them. I believe that the IIS server should be configured to add the image/gif MIME type to .GIF files, besides .gif files. A sample URL is: http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist/bsw.GIF which renders as pristine ASCII text in my browser (or as a blank image in the parent documemnt). I need to save it, rename it, and reload, or set a new MIME type in the browser to see it right. Peter -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
