Hi Guys,

I've been using a Picstart Plus for quite some time to program PIC16s. =
Around 3 months back, my Picstart Plus suddenly stopped responding to =
MPLAB.=20

A friend of mine told me that changing the MAX232 on the Programmer =
would fix the problem. I did so and amazingly, it worked.

Just a week back, I got the same problem again. This time also, I canged =
the MAX232, but still the programmer is not responding. I'm getting a =
stramge feeling that the PIC17 on the programmer might have died.

Can anyone suggest me some methods to fix my programmer. Someone must =
have got a similar problem and might just have fixed it.


Although I am constructing a programmer for 16f877s, I'm thinking of =
shifting to PIC18s soon.  And for that I'll need the Picstart Plus.

Please suggest me some ideas to fix the Picstart Plus
