If you want to do something really basic, and you just the radio mechanism to establish a connection but you do not want to be fully Bluetooth compliant then this is feasible. Using something like an ericsson module will fit your requirements, see mobile.ericsson.se/bluetooth regards, SW. -----Original Message----- From: rad0 [mailto:rden25@MINDSPRING.COM] Sent: 11 January 2001 19:36 To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU Subject: what is bluetooth? Hello picsters! I was wondering, exactly what is bluetooth? Is it a protocal and an rf tx/rx system?? or more or less? Has anyone done anything with it using a stamp?? I'm working on a basic rf remote control device and so far it's a real pain. Is bluetooth low level enough for something like this ? Or would this be putting out a match with a fire hose??
