Hi, I have a Tait'style programmer and the P16PRO programming software. Until recently I could program all of PICS could be programmed in serial mode. However, for 16F877's having mfg date 2000 I can only program if I touch the leads transferring signals to the PICs (I have a relatively high conductance, compared to other persons). The PIC is on a separate breadboard, and the programmer is connected to it with a 5-wire flat cable (20 cm). Did the programming spec perhaps change? Any ideas?
