The idea is to put all the fast hardware on the SIMM as SMD and run a SCSI flatcable to other devices that are to be attached. I do not expect the frequency to go over 50MHz in ANY case on this external bus and I plan to use terminated lines over flatcable (common ground) and line buffer/drivers meant for 100MHz. The first experiment will be done with 'old' SIMMs in a 386 system so speed will be less of a problem, and I will get a feel of the real problems (I hope).
