There was a posting( more like begging/pleading) by a Jose S. to the piclist
recently. I would like to comment/reflect on this post. First of all, it
annoyed me at first, multiple post of the same thing, there wasnt much
information to really get the gist of the question and the pleading( please
stop!). For some reason that post stuck to my mind. Realizing the ethnic
nature of the name and the style of the writting, it occured to me that
there is definitely a cultural flavor to this post. Does'nt sound western to
me. Having lived in a country where this style of dealing/communication is
common, I had to re-think my original thoughts about it.
I am new to the list and I have found that there are generally good natured
people in the list. They are generally willing to help but not give away
everything of course. In my previous job, I travelled quite a bit and  I had
to deal with things that are more or less acceptable way of doing things.

I would like to encourage people offended by the post to be understanding. I
dont think Jose was trying to insult anyone on purpose. Although, on the
surface, he seem to expect the list to do his homework.
I guest next time I will try to be more open minded about the whole thing.
