Hello,
I need to implement a small network consisting of one master and up to 16
slaves. I have decided that RS-485 is a good physical level protocol to
use, but im wondering about the software side. Right now i am thinking
about using the UART on my micro controller hooked to a full duplex RS-485
driver (MAX489). Then it seems that i could use the 9-bit  capability of
the UART to send address bytes and data bytes. Does anyone have any links
on the best way to do this, or things to look out for? Thanks in advance,
