Yep, it's true. I've got SDCC generating output compatible with gpasm (and consequently MPASM). [which means that linker support will not be available {but it also means that you'll be able to use SDCC under windows and with MPLAB, etc. (even though the primary target is Linux) } ]. I'm in the process of creating an automated test set up with SDCC, gpasm, and gpsim.
